Dave evaluates and underwrites HUD-insured multifamily loans including construction, rehabilitation, refinancing, acquisition, and modification transactions for market-rate, LIHTC, and Section 8 properties. He has been working with some of the nation’s largest HUD lenders since 2010, having an underwriting role in over 100 loans with just under $2 billion in volume.
Dave is able to “translate” HUD-specific requirements into common development and asset management parlance due to his multifamily development experience since 2010 in which he has participated in lead and supporting roles in 18 projects encompassing more than 5,000 units.
His fluency in HUD processes, procedures, and personalities, helps him to “see around corners” to anticipate as best as possible potential transaction snags and dynamics.
Dave was born and raised in Dallas. He is a graduate of Stanford University, holding degrees in civil and structural engineering. He lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, and enjoys being outdoors, reading, weight training, and self-touring new properties.
